VIRTUAL WYNDHAM LEARNING FESTIVAL : LANTERN MAKING WITH "HONG BAOS"
An online cultural activity making lanterns with “Hong Baos” (Red Money Packets). Learn about the cultural background of these “Hong Baos” and the many variations and beautiful cultural designs.

Venue : Online via Zoom 
Activities : Using “Hong Baos” to make various crafts and lanterns.

An online fun and creative journey of the history of the Mid Autumn Moon Festival.

VIRTUAL MID-AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL
Celebrate one of the biggest festivals in Asian culture, the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, as it shines on Hobsons Bay. A “Virtual Cultural Learning Experience” with the community.

Venue : Online by Altona Meadows Library and Learning Centre

Activities : Cultural Story telling / Games / Lantern Craft making using cultural red paper packets known as “Hong Baos”.

FUROSHIKI WORKSHOP : ECO-FRIENDLY WRAPPING
Furoshiki is the traditional Japanese art of cloth folding. Originally used to wrap clothes into a secure bundle, it is now used to carry or wrap almost anything. This 1200 year old tradition is an eco-friendly alternative to reduce our reliance on plastic bags and wrapping paper.

Venue : Werribee Plaza Library
Activities : Using any type of cloth or scarfs to make useful and colourful bags and wrappings for everyday items.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES 2020 - Biscuit Decorating with Tea
Kids come and make unique glitter cupcakes, make new friends and have a wonderful tea party with many other families. This activity is for kids between 2-5 years of age. Adult will need to stay with the child.
Tea party time for everyone, come and make beautiful and yummy tea. Biscuits that are your very own creations. This program is ideal for kids between 6-12 years of age. The course includes cost of the materials as well.
